November 3rd Update

watercooling-tube-mountJust a short update here. Above is a simple watercooling tube mount. This mount connects the M8KX Frame Extension Top to the 90-degree Barrow fitting and to the Primochill Revolver hard tubing. It uses a M5 low-profile screw that is also used to secure the outer aluminum panel to the chassis.

Here’s an outdated  image of the printer in its current form. I finally received the PETG tubing for my water cooling loop and have one test fitted at the moment. Looks great at the moment. Now to print out all the exterior frame pieces and purchase some extension springs from Home Depot and get this puppy wired up.

This is just a test picture. The printer frame itself is going to be inverted to better distribute the weight throughout the printer. Right now with the 2060 bottom frame, motors and build plate, the bottom of the printer is significantly heavier than the top frame. So it will be inverted in the next update. Fortunately, I designed all the pieces to be symmetrical top to bottom.

That’s all for now!
